Hilbert College President Cynthia Zane is one of four people receiving honorary degrees at St. Bonaventure University’s 153rd annual Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 12.
From St. Bonaventure’s announcement—
Under Zane’s leadership, Hilbert has established a new general arts and sciences curriculum, successfully completed the largest fundraising campaign in school history, built a new residence hall, established a service-learning requirement, and initiated the school’s first graduate programs.
Zane had an extensive background in higher education prior to being named president of Hilbert College in 2006. She was chief academic officer and dean of faculty at the College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati from 2001 to 2006.
